Carnival Theme Birthday Party For Kids

Lizzie turned 5 and I can’t believe it!  I know every parent says time flies, but WOW, it really does! This year we wanted to have a good old fashioned at home birthday party.  We had a carnival theme birthday party for her and it was a huge hit!

We spent the summer going to state fairs and street fests and noticed that Lizzie loved all the games.  Whether she wins or not, she loves to play.  We also noticed that the cheap toys she gets from the games are some of her favorite toys to play with.  We wanted to recreate that excitement for her at her birthday party.

Here is how we accomplished the ultimate carnival birthday party at home!

Invitations and Signs For A Carnival Theme Birthday Party

I made the invitations and signs for each game on Canva.  It was super easy, I found I template I liked and added our personal details.

Coloring Station

The kids colored a white craft bag and decorated them with stickers.  This bag served as the goodie bag for the party.  They took it from game to game to collect their prize.

Games For A Carnival Theme Birthday Party

I bought all the games on Oriental Trading and they were relatively cheap and great quality.  I’ve linked everything below to make it easy for you!

Carnival Themed Prizes

I gathered the prizes from various stores and have linked what I can for you here.

Snacks For A Carnival Theme Birthday Party

We kept it simple and only served cake at this party and used these plates.  And also pre-made bags of Garett’s popcorn for guests to snack on.  I found the carnival popcorn bags here.

Decorations For A Carnival Theme Birthday Party

Carnival decorations are easy to find on Amazon, Oriental Trading and Temu.  Here are the links to everything I had
