Everlane Day Market Tote

What someone carries in their purse truly defines them.  Is the purse organized or is it a bottomless pit of junk?  Mine is usually an organized collection of essentials, but sometimes it can be a complete disaster.  There is nothing I love more than cleaning out my purse and organizing it perfectly. It’s so fulfilling 🙂

The purse I am carrying is the Everlane Day Market Tote.  I find it to be one of the best totes I’ve carried in a while.  If you’ve been following for a while you may know that a couple years ago I saved for an investment purse and exclusively carried that around town.  I’ve officially decided I can branch out now and introduce other purses into the rotation.

I’ve been eyeing the Everlane Day Market Tote for a while now.  I love the simplistic design, the high quality leather and craftsmanship, and the sturdiness of the bag.  It retains its shape without being rigid, it’s the perfect mix between structure and flexibility. Like everything that Everlane produces, their items are top notch! The Everlane Day Market Tote comes in six colors, which I’ve linked below for you (sadly my red tote is sold out right now).

Overall, Everlane is creeping up on my list of favorite brands.  You will probably start to see more pieces appearing in posts, as I’ve recently invested in their Day Heel, Day Glove and Authentic Stretch Denim.  If it has the word Day in it at Everlane I’m buying it!

About The Brand

Their brand is simple and to the point. They are focused on taking an ethical approach to clothing, designing quality pieces that will stand the test of time and are committed to radical transparency, which is my favorite part.  Their prices are affordable and they list the entire cost to make the item along with the markup. It’s so refreshing to see a brand do this and not rip you off!

It’s called a tote for a reason…I tote everything in it around town!  I walk over a mile to and from work daily, which may seem like a lot, but for city living it’s actually enjoyable.  On my walk to work I usually bring my lunch, so I throw it in my tote. If I’m wearing a pair of shoes for the day that I don’t normally keep at work, I’ll throw those in my tote too.

Errands always happen on the walk home from work.  I may need something at the grocery store or need to pick up shampoo.  I throw it all in my tote and head home. Chicago charges for bags and while it’s only 7 cents I refuse to pay for a bag, so I use my purse instead.

I also use the tote to carry extra layering pieces.  It’s easy to throw in a cape, scarf or cardigan just in case I get cold somewhere.  I swear I have a two degree temperature variance. I’m constantly hot, then cold, then hot again.

This tote is also perfect for travel.  I love to travel with a larger tote to help hold everything in one place.  When I travel for work I like to have a bag that sits on top of my carry on and is able to latch onto the handle.  I can get into it easily and throw stuff in it as needed. Looking to see what I pack when I travel for work, check it out here.

The Everlane Day Market Tote is the best tote around for any gal.  From running errands to work, this bag is perfect for the girl on the go!
