 Dr. Seuss Experience in Chicago

The Dr. Seuss Experience has arrived in Chicago!   We got a sneak peak before it opens to the public on October 8th!  The experience is 25,000 square feet in Chicago’s Water Tower Place.  It features immersive installations themed after some of the most iconic Dr. Seuss stories and characters.  The exhibit is open to everyone, all you need is a ticket and a mask (per City guidelines) if you are age 2 and over.  You can find tickets here.

The classic Dr. Seuss stories like “Cat in the Hat” and “The Lorax” come alive in a visually stunning exhibit.  There is also a maze inspired by “Oh, the Places You’ll Go.”  Everything in the exhibit is visually stimulating and there are tons of photo ops!  If you’re lucky to spot a character, be sure to stop them and take a picture.  They are super friendly and inviting for kids.

My Favorite Exhibits – Dr. Seuss Experience

There are 9 separate exhibits and each one focuses on an iconic Dr. Seuss story.  They are all interactive and encourage participation from you.  I enjoyed all of the exhibits and my top three favorites were.

Oh, The Places You Will Go – It’s a balloon maze with a fun word search hidden inside.

There’s a Wocket In My Pocket – The room comes alive and speaks to you along with giving you clues to find hidden critters.

The Cat In The Hat – This room blew my mind!  I won’t give away any spoilers, however you will be blown away, literally!

Directions and Parking

The exhibit is located at Water Tower Place, 825 N. Michigan Avenue, and the entrance to The Dr. Seuss Experience is on the corner of Michigan Avenue and E. Pearson Street. There will be lots of Seuss signage, so you can’t miss it!  It’s important to note that you cannot enter the experience from the mall but must enter directly from the street.

The Dr. Seuss Experience is in Chicago until the end of the year and tickets are still available.  Get yours today!
