It’s the end of the month, which means my favorite monthly post is here….Currently Loving! I truly hope you love this series as much as I do. I love that it provides you with an insight into what I’m craving fashion wise right now! This month its a bit of a mash up or several different items. The common theme with this grouping is that all the items are from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Now some of you may be sick of hearing about all these great deals that are on sale, but it’s truly the best sale out there. Earlier this month I curated multiple guides and wishlists for you, which can be found you here. In this post, I am sharing my Top Ten Favorite Purchases from the sale. I’m also sharing how to wear them now and later. They are fall items, however when I get something new, I want to wear it immediately. Some of the items, like bulky sweaters, are hard to wear in 90+ weather, but you will see how versatile most items can be.
Now these deals are still available through August 5 at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Prices go up after that, however I think all these items are still worth the full price price tag. But don’t delay grab what you love while its on sale!!

Louise et Cie Jayant Pump
Every gal needs a black pump, period. I wear a standard black heel to work every day. I actually keep a pair at work and only wear them there. This heel is perfect for work and can be worn right now! The heel height is 3.5 inches which is a great height, especially when wearing a dress or skirt. It elongates your legs and provides you with a sturdy base as it’s a thicker block heel. The rounded toe is softer than a pointy toe and more comfortable too. These run true to size, I bought an 8, which I wear in every shoe. Its $79 on sale and $119 after the sale.
Halogen Button Sleeve Cashmere Sweater
This is my first cashmere sweater ever! Can you believe that? It’s super soft, it feels like butter on your skin. The fit is amazing, it’s not skin tight and not overly boxy, its just right. The length is a bit shorter than I would like (I’m tall and like longer tops), however it just makes the cut off for me. I love wearing this sweater on cooler summer days with it french tucked into my distressed jean shorts and a pair of cute sandals (I love these right now and these). In the fall I can’t wait to pair this with my high waisted denim and booties. In the winter I plan on layering it with a denim shirt under for extra warmth. I will be getting a ton of use out of this sweater. Runs true to size and I bought a medium. Its currently $89 and goes up to $120 after the the sale, which is still a great deal for cashmere.
Leith Boxy Cardigan
I’m already calling this the sweater of the fall, which is a bold statement. I bought both the blush and grey and I’m not sure which one I love more…maybe the blush colored one. Its boxy, which means you can size down a bit. I ended up taking the extra small in this, which is a size down in this brand for me. I felt that the extra small still offered the oversized look, but scaled down. It drapes beautifully on the body and hits a little below the hips, which is a great length. I’ve been wearing it now to work over a sleeveless dress. I’m always cold in the office and having this as my extra layer makes me feel cozy all day. I can’t wait till October so I can wear this blush colored sweater with my favorite 7 For All Mankind Jeans, a cream tank and these Franco Sarto Booties. The sweater is $43 on sale and $69 after the sale. I’d grab this one on sale as it’s a great price, it may not be worth it after the sale though. And if boxy cardigans aren’t your thing Leith has a more form fitting cocoon sweater on sale too.
Raw Edge Scoop Neck Tee
Stripes, stripes and more stripes…I love stripes! This top was my favorite from last year’s sale and it’s back this year. I literally wore it to death last year. I’ll be honest it’s not the highest quality top, but it’s the best price ever and can be worn as a layering piece in the colder months. In the Summer it’s perfect with jean shorts and flip flops on a slightly cooler day. I bought a medium and like the fit. The top is $18 on sale and goes up to $30 after the sale. Grab it on sale as it’s a great value.
Tory Burch Ballet Flat
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a great opportunity to grab some great designer items on sale. These Tory Burch flats are exactly that…a great deal! I believe that everyone needs to own a pair of Tory Burch flats, period. I saved for my first pair many years ago and truly felt like I made it in life. You all have that one item that gave you that feeling, right? I personally have owned the Rivera(no longer around) and the Minnie and loved them both. These flats are great for casual Friday in the office and also good for work travel. These are $165 on sale and go up to $248 after the sale. You would be crazy not to get these on sale!
Caslon Cowl Neck Sweater
A staple for your Fall wardrobe, this cowl neck sweater is a little oversized and super cozy. Every Fall I find one sweater that I wear to death and I have a feeling this will be it! I ended up getting the medium because I liked the overall look of the sweater better. Its slightly oversized and I decided to go up a size because I wanted to achieve that comfy cozy look. The sweater is longer in the back which makes it a great candidate to wear with leggings and tall riding boots. It comes in several colors, I opted for the black, but also love the grey. The sweater is $49 on sale and goes up to $79 after the sale. I’d still purchase this at full price, so you know its a keeper!
J. Crew Wool Coat
Year after year J. Crew has high quality coats and this coat is this years version. It’s a great weight for fall and warmer winter days. It’s a blazer like topcoat that will be perfect for the office or a night out at dinner. The color choices in this coat are amazing. The red color is an amazing red that can be worn through winter. The royal cobalt is vibrant and offers a bold color option. The winter pine is a great fall color that will kick off the season in style. The grey is classic and timeless. I’m not a huge fan of the yellow color, its a bit to light for fall for my taste. The price is right at $185 during the sale and $248 after the sale. Great price during or after the sale, but why not save the money and get it now!
Kensie Ruffle Jacket
My favorite coat of the entire sale! The ruffle down the front is so cute and the perfect feminine touch to this coat. I actually have a similar coat I bought in London years ago that is in need of being replaced, so I was beyond excited to find this coat. You can wear this open or fully zipper and it is striking both ways. I would opt to wear this jacket for evening wear, like to dinner or drinks as the ruffle dresses things up. This can easily be worn into Spring given the soft blush color making it a three season piece. Its $129 during the same and $198 after the sale. Grab it now and secure yourself an awesome deal!
Charles David Pump
Every girls needs to own one classic heel in a bold color. It’s the heel that you turn to when you are wearing all black and need to spice things up. The pointy toe heel is always in style, which will have you turning to this shoe for years. I wear my colored heels far less then a black heel, which makes them last super long. I also wear my colored heels to the office, it’s fun to step outside the box in the office. I love the orange and yellow colored heels, both are perfect to wear year round. During the sale the price is $64 and after the sale they go up to $99. Any shoe under $100 is a good deal in my book!
Tahari Sheath Dress
Stocking up on office staples is a great idea during this sale. This dress is not only a classic shape and style, the neckline is amazing! V-necks get boring after a while, but the star neckline on this dress is amazing. It spices things up a bit. I’d style this in the office with my Jardigan and a classic pair of pumps. I’d carry the dress into the Fall and Winter by adding a black tight. This is truly a season-less dress that you can have for years. During the sale its $84 and goes up to $128 after the sale. A deal at both prices for a quality work dress, but why not grab it on sale?
