Out with the old and in with the new. Over the last four months I’ve over worn all my loungewear and pajamas. As much as I love it, it’s time to bring some fresh items out. With the warmer summer weather here to stay I’m focusing on wearing lightweight affordable summer dresses.
And I’m being price conscious with my dresses and keeping the price of them under $100. In addition to price, I am keeping functionality and style in mind. For my lifestyle I need to look presentable for work video calls, be able to play on the floor with a toddler and not overheat when outside chasing a toddler. The dress needs to work for me, not against me all day.
I realize I am asking for a lot in a dress, but as a working mom (at home right now) I need it to work for me. It’s one thing to have work clothes that I change out when I get home, but I’m not in an office right now and Lizzie is home.
Now before we go any further I need to set the record straight about wearing a dress and chasing kids around. Yes, it is hard to wear a dress and chase an 18 month old around, however it’s not impossible. You just have to be conscious of what you are doing and how you are bending. Trust me it is hard, but if I can do it, you can too!

Sizing: I’m wearing a 10, but could have easily taken an 8, which is my normal size. Grab it in your normal size.

Sizing: I’m wearing an 8 and it fits nicely. If you are looking for a tighter fit you can size down.

- Smocked top that accommodates any bust size
- Flowy bottom that is forgivable
- It has pockets
Sizing: I’m wearing an 8, which is my normal size. You could size down as the bottom is flowy and the top is stretchy.
