5 Days Of Office Style With M.M. LaFleur

collage of 5 days of office style with MM LaFleur

Hello, hello!  I can’t believe January is almost over.  With work and life it’s been a bit of a blur lately.  Earlier this year I asked you all what you wanted to see more of.  There was an overwhelming response for more everyday work wear looks.

I absolutely loved hearing this feedback.  First, because I write this blog for you and want it to be helpful. And second, because I love getting dressed for work.  I used to hate it, but then I started to buy pieces I truly loved and dressing for work became exciting.

5 Days Of Office Style With M.M. LaFleur

Investing In Work Clothes

I spend most of my time in “work clothes” so why not invest in those clothes and love them to death?  I used to put all my effort into summer work clothes because I love dresses.  However I recently started investing more in winter/fall work clothes.  And even more into office style pieces I can wear year round.

I love to get the most out of pieces.  Being able to wear them for multiple seasons and for years makes my investment pay off.  My go-to brand for office style is M.M. LaFleur.  Their pieces incredibly well made, timeless and make me feel like a million bucks!  I have a favorite in every category, but the ultimate M.M. piece is the Jardigan.  I own it in black, taupe and charcoal. If you don’t have one in your closet you are missing out.

I grab for this piece time after time.  For meetings, when I want to step it up and even on the weekends with jeans.  It’s the most versatile piece that wears like a dream.  It’s no wonder that I own three of them.  The other piece I wear over and over again is the Colby Pants.

I have never put a pair of “work pants” on that was this comfortable.  You can read my full review about them in this post HERE.  Let’s just say it’s like wearing an athlesuire pant in the office, while looking perfectly polished.  And the best part, they don’t wrinkle. So, if you travel a ton you NEED a pair in your closet!

A Gift

Now M.M. LaFleur pieces are an investment, but they are also 100% worth it.  I’ve had all my pieces for over 4 years now and they look brand new.  They are still in style and have paid me back already.  I started small and built my office style collection.

I love that their pieces are beautifully made and stand the test of time.  They are the best gift I’ve even bought myself and my favorite addiction.  If you are a first time customer then I have exciting news for you.

My friends at MM are giving you a $50 gift towards your first purchase of $250 or more by using code LATEREVERAFTER50 when you checkout.  This is a great opportunity to get your hands on their coveted office style pieces like the Jardigan and Colby Pants.  I’d also throw in a pair of their cashmere socks.  They are the best little luxury around!

A Weeks Worth of Work Outfits

Below I’m sharing my office style for the week.  And this particular week I went with all M.M. LaFleur outfits.  I can’t get enough of this brand.  I know that it’s a little bit more pricey, but they are truly the best investment pieces you can buy.  And I didn’t buy these all over night.  I’ve been collecting them for years and just recently starting working with them for the blog.

In full transparency the pieces I was gifted in this post are the Colby Pants (however I bought them in another size recently), the Moreland Jacket and the Joan Top.  All other pieces I purchased and love all of them to death!

I’ve including my sizing below for you as well.  I know that buying things online can be tricky.  So seeing my sizes may help you out.  And always feel free to send me a not to ask about a particular piece, I’m happy to share my feedback.

MONDAY

Emily Dress (Size 12 and Tailored)

This was the third dress I bought from M.M., yes, I remember it like it was yesterday.  I loved the color, fabric and shape of the dress.  I buy my dresses to fit my hips and take in the rest if needed. With this dress I had a tailor put in a couple darts in the upper back to take it in.

TUESDAY

Walters Top (Size Large) + Grey Jardigan (Size Large) + Colby Pants (size 8)

You can’t go wrong with black and grey.  I picked up the charcoal jardigan at the start of the year and can’t believe I waited so long to get it.  It’s rich and luxe and adds the right amount of subtle color to any outfit.

WEDNESDAY

Graham Kimono (Size Large) + Didion Top (Size Small) + Colby Pants (Size 8)

wear to work office style

These are THE PANTS I’m raving about.  I live in these pants and love the piping down the front.  They are polished yet ultra-comfortable. And the Didion Top is a staple.  I have it in two colors and have it on heavy rotation.

THURSDAY

Merritt Jacket (Size Medium) + Joan Top (Size Medium) + Colby Pants (Size 8)

work wear

I’ll admit I was on the fence with the Merritt Jacket.  When it first came out it was only offered in this midnight color.  They now have several other colors.  I wish I waited and got it in the sandy beige color.  Only because I don’t wear a ton of blue tones.  I like the jacket because it’s sophisticated and structured, but wish I had another color.

FRIDAY

Antonia Top (Size Medium) +  Moreland Jacket (Size 8) + Colby Pants (Size 8)

Again I’m wearing the magical pant here.  When paired with the Moreland Jacket it makes a power suit.  It’s great for meetings or when you want to step it up in the office.  I cuff the sleeves of the jacket to make it

And don’t forget first time customers get a $50 gift towards your purchase of $250 or more with code LATEREVERAFTER50.

  1. Excellent post! I love the idea of investing in a wardrobe that you build over time, and you highlighted some MM LaFleur pieces that I hadn’t heard of yet. I’d love a Nordstrom workwear blog too!
