Bondi Boost Wave Wand Review

bondi boost wave wand

Some girls love their skincare and while I do, my heart is truly with my hair.  I have a lot of hair that is sometimes unruly and I invest a lot of time and effort in my hair.  From products to tools, I’ve pretty much tried everything out there.  So when Bondi Boost reached out I was on board to test out their hair tools.

I was gifted the Bondi Boost Wave Wand in exchange for a social media post.  And while I completed my post, I continued to use and love the wave wand!  It’s one of those hair tools that takes time to learn how to properly use.  By the third time using it I had gotten into a rhythm and enjoyed the final output.

About Bondi Boost

BondiBoost is an Australian company that initially made hair care products and then expanded into hair tools.  They create salon professional products that reduces the appearance of tired dull hair, help prevent breakage and split-ends for healthier and thicker feeling hair while using the highest quality ingredients.  And their hair tools feature a design that enhances the styling of your hair.  Offering salon quality tools at mainstream prices.

Bondi Boost Wave Wand

The Bondi Boost Wave Wand is the perfect tool for creating natural-looking beachy waves in minutes. The wand comes in two sizes 32mm and 25mm, the larger one creates bigger waves.  The wand features 3 x extra large barrels, adjustable heat settings and universal voltage for international use.  Whether you have short or long locks; thick or thin, the heated ceramic produces negatively charged ions that create soft, shiny waves without any frizz. The wave wand will add a uniform wave to your hair in seconds vs. a traditional curling iron.

The heat settings are a huge selling point for me.  I have very thick hair and need heat tools that get very hot.  This wave wand allows me to go to the highest setting to achieve a strong wave.  I also love that the wand is made with a crystal powder tourmaline ceramic glaze.  This coating protects my hair from heat damage.  I use a heat protecting spray everyday, and this is an extra added bonus.

Tips For Using The Bondi Boost Wave Wand

This tool takes a few tries to learn how to use.  Unless you are a professional you are going to need a few tries to get a good technique down.  It took me about 3 tries to figure out how to properly use the tool to achieve the wave you desire.  Here are a few tips that I have for using the Bondi Boost Wave Wand.

  • Start the wand about 2 inches from the root to avoid a hard crimp look at your roots.
  • Place your index finger on the back of the wand for leverage to open and close the wand.
  • Hold each section for 5-10 seconds to achieve a strong wave.
  • Use the heat glove provided, I burnt myself a few times while using the wand the first few times.
  • Get a silicone pad so you can set the wand down between pssses.  Using the built in stand each time is time consuming
  • When you finish with your whole head, spray it with hairspray and let it cool.  Once your hair is cool, comb through it with a wide tooth comb, not a brush to maintain the wave. Let your hair cool and comb it with a wide tooth comb.

So tell me, do you have a Bondi Boost Wave Wand?
