I miss my Christmas decorations already! Anyone else? To fill the void I’m going to really live up Valentine’s Day. I’m making it a full-blown thing this year. I actually love having the red and hearts around and think it provides such a fun pick me up in the dead of winter. So let’s bust out the decor and fashion!
Valentines Day Decor
For each holiday that rolls around I have at least one decoration on display in the house. And the most popular item is a bowl or a dish. I’m an old soul at heart and love having tiny dishes all around the house. In fact, Mike is always asking me what the dishes are for. They are only for decoration and I never put anything in them. I set it out on a bookcase, nightstand or table. It sounds so weird, but I can’t get enough of little dishes!
This year I’m taking my one dish and raising it with pillows and fun things for Valentine’s day. As I see it the girls are only little for so long and making a huge deal out of little holidays is so much fun with them. So why not live life to the fullest and go all out on Valentine’s day decor?
And I’m not stopping at decorating the house. I’m also decorating Lizzie, by dressing her up! It’s so cute to get Lizzie all decked out in holiday clothes, whether it’s Halloween or Valentine’s day she wears some fun clothes to represent the holiday. So for the next month the girls will be wearing red, pink and as many hearts as I can find.
