Fashion Details:

Working from home is here to stay and I couldn’t be more excited about it!  I’m one of those people that are fully dressed when I work from home.  No sweatpants, no t-shirts, I’m dressed to impress inside my own home.  Working from home in the colder months was super easy as I layered my tops and wore a lot of turtlenecks.  With summer right around the corner I’m defining my summer work from home wardrobe.  I’ve curated the ideal summer work from home uniform that is stylish, comfortable and functional for the warmer temps.

Work From Home Uniform Formula

My work from home uniform is rather simple.  It was created to be comfortable in your home and outside your home while looking professional.  When I work from home I’m not just at home.  I’m running to do daycare pickup and drop off, I’m on a video call, I’m going to lunch or even working at a local coffee shop.  There are a variety of activities I need to be presentable for in the course of any day.

My work from home uniform formula will have you covered for anything that pops up during the day.  It is ideal for working from home and also in the office.  Maximizing the wearability of your wardrobe is a must these days.  So here is the formula

Classic Tank + Non Denim Pants + Classic Blazer + Statement Necklace

Work From Home Uniform Details

The reason this uniform works so well is that the pieces are powerful alone and together.  They are versatile, comfortable and chic.

White Tank

The white tank alone is very casual and comfortable.  When worn alone it is perfect for a hot summer day or just answering emails in your home.  You can easily run out of the house in it and look presentable.  You can also wear it on a video call with a statement necklace and look polished.  It’s powerful alone or layered with the rest of the uniform.

The Paige Tank I’m wearing is soft and slinky, making it look super luxe.  It’s a classic elevated tank that shows up well on video and in person.  It is fitted and I would size up in this tank to get the best fit.  I’m wearing a large.

Better Than Denim Pants

While I typically wear jeans at home, I can’t wear jeans to the office.  I also found that jeans can get pretty unforgettable throughout the day.  Which is why I was so excited to find these Better Than Denim pants.  OMG they are fabulous!  They are a two-way stretch cotton and while they have the denim features we all love they are way stretchier and ideal for home and office.

I love the leg of the Archie Pant as well.  It’s slightly flared and cropped, with an adjustable length.  I’m wearing them at the full length, but shorter gals you can adjust the hem for a more cropped look.  I’m 5’9 for reference and love where they hit on my leg.  These pants do run small though.  I would size up at least one size.  I’m wearing a 12, which is two sizes up.  They are snug, but not overly tight.

Classic Blazer

The blazer is key to this uniform as it’s the ideal layering piece for home and office wear.  At home you can throw on a blazer for the formal video call.  And in the office this piece is powerful and professional.  I often wear a blazer as my jacket when running around town too.  While it may be too hot in the summer to wear this outside, it is perfect to throw over your purse as a layering piece when entering that chilly coffee shop for a work session.

The Gaia Jacket I’m wearing is gorgeous!  The gray color is timeless and gives off a slight menswear vibe.  I love the strong lapel and defined shoulders as they both demand respect and attention when on a video call.  In the office you can really show off the details of this blazer like the cinched waisted and upfront pleats.

Statement Necklace

I know that the statement necklace had it heyday a few years ago and died out a bit.  However I can firmly say the statement necklace of 2022 is here and it’s the Lygia Necklace.  Look at this beauty.  It is meaty, smooth and gorgeous!  It comes in this ivory color and a deep red color too.  Both colors are gorgeous, however I love the deep beauty of the two toned ivory color necklace.

Sandals

I don’t wear shoes in the house, but if I need to leave the house I can easily slip on a pair of sandals to complete my look.   Right now I love this casual pair  and this heel .  Both are insanely comfortable and under $50.
