Winter Wardrobe Staples That Never Go Out Of Style

There are three things I love about winter.  Snow, cozy days at home and winter staples that fill my closet.  Even better, winter wardrobe staples that never go out of style.  The months of January and February are typically transitional months for my clothing.  These months are transitional because we are transitioning out of winter in January.  And we are transitioning into spring at the end of February(hopefully!).  I feel that these months don’t have a defined trend for clothing and are more rooted in clean classic staples that become our winter wardrobe staples.

Winter Wardrobe Staples That Never Go Out Of Style

Winter wardrobe staples can be worn year after year, as they never go out of style.  They are the clothing items that are in classic colors like white and grays.  They are colors that blend well together with any other color family.  You can wear them with blacks, browns and navy colors.

Winter wardrobe staples like these are found everywhere, however Everlane is my go-to for these pieces.  I’ve been obsessed with them every since I attended their denim pop-up in Chicago.  Right now I have been living in their sweaters.  My go to’s are the teddy sweater (which is super cozy and only $58 right now), the alpaca vneck (which is the warmest sweater I own) and their cashmere vneck (its only $100!).  They are able to make their prices so reasonable because of their transparency.  You can read more about it here.

They are constantly creating new timeless pieces that are staples for your closet.  In fact they recently launched a few items that are true winter staples (and spring and even fall staples!).  I love it when items can be worn in multiple seasons, you really get your money’s worth out of them.

White Relaxed Blouse

A classic white button up made with an ultra light cotton that is versatile for all seasons.  Nothing looks more crisp and put together than a white button down. It’s the ultimate layering piece that pairs perfectly with an oversized sweater.  A key piece for any gal at any age.  This blouse runs a little big.  I have it in a 6, but would normally take an 8, I’d suggest sizing down.

Oversized Alpaca Sweater

Tall gals rejoice this sweater is longer in length and perfect!  I find that a lot of Everlane tops run shorter, but sometimes I crave a longer sweater.  This is long enough to cover your rear end, so grab your best leggings for this sweater.  And this sweater is super warm.  I have their alpaca vneck and stay toasty warm in freezing temps in it.

High Rise Skinny Authentic Stretch Denim

If you don’t have a pair of Everlane denim yet, I have one question for you…why?  There denim is all that, PERIOD!  They have so many styles, so there is something for everyone.  And all their denim is under $100 with many styles at $70.

I have a whole post dedicated to Everlane Denim, which you can read here.  My favorite pair though is the Authentic Stretch High Rise Skinny.  I actually have them in 3 washes and this lighter denim color that I’m wearing is ideal for spring and summer.

The best part about these winter wardrobe staples is that you can wear them well into spring.  They are ideal for layering on warm or cold spring days.
