I finally feel like fall is here. Chicago has had a really warm October, I’m talking like the 80s, and it’s finally starting to cool off a bit. So it’s officially time to break out the cashmere! Cashmere is truly a luxury fabric that is timeless. My love for cashmere started later in life. In true Later Ever After fashion, I was a little late to the game. I’ve always heard about investing in cashmere, but never thought it was worth it. Gosh was I wrong!

Cashmere is the ultimate luxury and I wish I started treating myself to it earlier in life. It is super soft to the touch and when cared for properly, will last a very long time. The plush cashmere that M.M.LaFleur has created is like the champagne of sweater materials and it’s delightful! To create this material, they used a large quantity of extremely fine cashmere yarn, which results in a warm, fuzzy, and incredibly soft feel. It feels like you are wearing a cloud.

When my favorite brand, M.M.LaFleur introduced their plush cashmere this year, I knew it was going to be a winner. M.M.LaFleur has been creating hit after hit with their workwear pieces and the past year they really reinvented themselves with a great line of hybrid work-life items, including the Lea Sweater. Features I love include:

Plush cashmere which is ultra soft to the touch.
Slightly oversized fit that looks luxe and not sloppy. Pick up your normal size in this sweater, you won’t be disappointed with it. I took a medium.
Special gradient stitch on the sleeve cuff. This special design feature creates a slim fit through the wrist and adds a great look to the sleeves.
Tunic length which is ideal hitting right below the rear end, so you can wear it with leggings.
Timeless neutral colors, I’m wearing the stormcloud (which is a soft grey) and it also comes in light maple. Both colors are effortless chic.
Versatility, as this sweater can be worn in the office or on the weekends and you will look like a million bucks in it either way!

To care for your cashmere properly, limit trips to the dry cleaner, treat it gently, and brush off any pills . In addition, store it folded flat in a drawer. Never hang your cashmere as it will loose it’s shape.

How To Style The Lea Plush Cashmere Sweater

Since cashmere is a luxury fabric it does cost more and you really want to get your cost per wear to a reasonable amount. And being that the Lea Sweater is truly a fall and winter sweater, I’m styling it for those seasons.
