NuFACE Trinity Review

This post is 60+ days in the making and I’m excited to share with you my honest NuFACE Trinity review.  I’ve been being served NuFACE targeted ads for years and they have been hard to resist.  However I never go into a purchase blind, I have to research it.  My research on the NuFACE Trinity is extensive too.  Not only have I read the NuFACE website and found dedicated blog posts about it, I’ve also compared before and after photos of individuals.  Based on my research I purchased the NuFACE and was excited to use it and see the results and write this NuFACE Trinity review.  Here are a few things that were appealing to me about the device:

  • Easy to use at home
  • Not a huge time commitment, only 5 minutes a day
  • FDA-Cleared and Aesthetician-Approved
  • Rave reviews

Before we get to my personal results with the NuFACE, I wanted to share a little bit about the device.

NuFACE Trinity

NuFACE Trinity is the only FDA-Cleared, Aesthetician-Approved device that stimulates the face and neck with a gentle microcurrent. The device helps improve facial contour, tone and diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Also known as the 5 minute facial, this device packs a powerful punch.   For 5 minutes a day, 5 days a week you can get an at home facial with benefits that are visible like tone, lift and contour.  The microcurrent is a low-level, electrical current that sends gentle waves through skin down to the facial muscles. It mimics and gently re-energizes the body’s own natural current helping to tone, lift, and contour.

The device is easy to use and easy to add to your current skincare routine. Simply apply a medium layer of the gel activator to your face (neck, jawline and forehead) to ensure the microcurrent connects with your facial muscles. Once applied you will move the device in an upward motion in the three designated areas.  The device will beep after three seconds to let you know it’s time to move around your face. Each section receives three swipes per session for three sessions total.

The NuFACE Trinity has a wrinkle reducer attachment. This attachment targets the lips (upper and corners), under eyes and forehead frown lines. The same concept applies; three swipes for three seconds per session for three sessions total. It uses red light therapy which reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin complexion, increases collagen and elastin production, and reduces the appearance of scars.

It’s important to note that you cannot use this device while pregnant. NuFACE confirms this and so did my doctor.

Cost

This device isn’t something you buy on a whim, it’s expensive!  The NuFace Trinity Starter Kit is $340. It does go on sale once and a while at various retailers, but you have to be watching for those sales. I personally bought mine on QVC when it was on sale. If you are serious about it, shop around and find a deal. Sometimes the wrinkle reducer attachment is included and sometimes it isn’t, depending on the deal you find.

There is also the NuFACE mini (click here)that costs around $200, however it isn’t compatible with any attachments, like the wrinkle reducer. If you have an interest in toning your jawline and forehead this is a lower cost option.

My NuFACE Trinity Review and Results

Drumroll please…I saw NO results after using this device for 60 days.  Yes, you read that correctly. As you can see in my before and after photos my face looks exactly the same. I was actually shocked and bummed that the pictures didn’t show any progress because I feel like my face looks different after using it.

When I look in the mirror I can see that my jawline looks slimmer and tighter.  You can kind of see it in the profile picture, but you really need to squint to see it, haha!  However the straight on photos show zero signs of improvement.  So a few things could be happening here;

  1. The device doesn’t work, on me, but works on others

                 or

  1. The pictures and the way my face is posed doesn’t show the actual results I see with the naked eye.

I should note that I only used the NuFACE Trinity device and did not use the wrinkle reducer attachment.  I wasn’t able to fully commit to 10 minutes total using this device everyday.  While it doesn’t seem like that much time, but I just couldn’t do it daily.  I do hope to start using it though.

At the end of the day  I do feel like I wasted my money on this product, however I actually enjoyed using it daily.  I found that I can commit to a new routine and make time for myself, even if it was just 5 minutes.  And because I hate wasting money I actually still use my NuFACE daily.  I’ve started to use the wrinkle reducer attachment too and am hoping to see results that show up in a photo soon.
