Loungewear I Love

Have any of you ever dreamed of working from home?  Well your dreams have come true!  Right now in Chicago we are ordered to stay home until April 30th.  The jury is still out for me on whether I love it or hate, but I’m making the most of it.  I have a lot of time on my hands and loungewear has become a huge focus for me.  While I firmly believe you should still be getting dressed for work there are some days when you just want to put on some great loungewear.

Truth be told my loungewear selection is pretty limited.  Partly because I haven’t found a lot of use for it, until recently.  I’ve put a lot of time into dressing for work and haven’t focused much on the loungewear side of things.  I have cozy clothes, but some of them are pretty janky. Side note…I may have made up the word janky years ago, it means something is run down, gross or lacking in style.

My janky loungewear got me thinking about my green velour Juicy Couture sweatsuit.  Remember those? My friend got all the bridesmaids for her wedding matching suits years ago and I lived in my.  I actually got rid of it when we moved a couple years ago. But boy, do I wish I had it right now!   Missing that sweatsuit started my search for a newer version.

The Sweatsuit

Fear not friends I searched high and low and found a 2020 version of the dream sweatsuit.  Best part is that each piece is less than $30! Meet the 2020 sweatsuit of your dreams. The material is unbelievably soft and rich looking.  It’s smooth and cool to the touch and feels amazing on your skin.

The pants are a traditional jogger, so the legs won’t ride up.  They are high waisted and have a drawstring waist. In terms of sizing I would say they run a tad big.  I bought the medium, which is my true size and they are roomy, but lay nicely.

The sweatshirt is a cozy hoodie.  Now it’s cropped, which I normally wouldn’t like, however when paired with the high waisted jogger it’s a match made in heaven.  I tuck in the front a bit and you actually forget it’s a cropped.

I’m reserving the matching sweat suit for Friday’s and the weekends right now.  I just can’t bring myself to wear it during the week when I’m working. It’s a mindset thing for me.  If I’m dressed super comfortable then I’m a bit more relaxed and I need to be sharp for work. Depending on how long we are all staying home I may change my mind 🙂

Loungewear To Love

This sweat suit comes in three colors; grey (the one I have), green and blush.  All the colors are great and actually pretty neutral. I’m considering picking up the green one too, it’s that cute!

If the matching sweat suit isn’t your thing I’ve pulled some other loungewear options all under $50.  The majority of the items are on major sale right now too. Check them out!
