Lady Jackets For Fall

Fashion Details:

I’m a sucker for a little jacket.  I probably have way to many, but it’s my go to piece when my outfit needs something more.  This fall the Lady Jacket is taking center stage as the “it” piece to have.  And I couldn’t be more excited!  This jacket is the epitome of classic fashion.  I’m having a hard time picking just one to add to my wardrobe this year.  So I may just add a few!

Lady Jacket

A lady jacket is a jacket that can be worn as your outfit or your outerwear .  The look is feminine and timeless.   It has feminine details, like a sleeve that hits right at the wrist, pockets and gorgeous buttons. Above all else, it’s an essential piece that you should have in your closet.  It’s a piece that will stand the test of time and one that you will have in your closet forever!  One that you can pair with just about anything for just about any occasion.  JCrew launched a huge collection of Lady Jackets this fall in various colors, patterns and fabrics.  The Lady Jacket can be tweed, cotton, knit…just about any fabric these days.

How To Style A Lady Jacket

One of the defining characteristics of the Lady Jacket is that it is collarless.  It typical has a soft crew neck which allows you to style it multiple ways and for multiple occasions.  The most classic way to style a lady jacket is with a neutral top underneath, like a crew neck tee or a cami.  I like to keep the lady jacket fairly open and only button the top button.  This creates a slightly relaxed look while still looking polished and feminine.  I top off the outfit with a kickcrop jean, loafers and a bold purse.  I love this look for weekends and working from home, it shows great on Zoom.

Lady Jackets I Love

I picked up a couple lady jackets for the fall and I’m already wearing them.  I am sticking with more classic colors like black and navy so I can get my money’s worth out of them.  My black one is ideal for workwear and my navy one perfect for the weekend.  Here are a few lady jackets I’m loving this season!
