How To Style Linen Pants

Warmer weather is right around the corner and I’m prepping my closet for it. I tend to spend less on my warmer weather clothes because they are more casual and I only wear them for a short period of time. I also want to experiment more and try out trends, but I don’t want to spend the money. My go-to for these items is Walmart. Yes, they have great clothing at affordable prices. That is why I grabbed these linen pants the second I saw them hanging there! I’m going to share how to style linen pants.

I knew these pants were going to be a key-piece for spring and summer and they were only $20!  The wide leg pants trend is ideal for warmer months. Flowy pants that are comfortable and chic which is the look I’m going for. While they aren’t an office pant, they are a great work from home pant! Not to mention they are an ideal travel pant too, whether it’s by air or car, this outfit will stand up! I’ll be pairing these pants with a white tee or tank and throwing on a white blazer for Zoom meetings.

My one tip for wearing a wide leg pant and looking amazing in them is to wear a tighter shirt and let a little skin show. It’s all about balance and having the right proportions in your look. If you are wearing a wide leg pant then your top should be more fitted and tucked in. You don’t want both your top and bottom to be loose, it will make you appear sloppy and larger than you are.  If you wear your top tucked in and more fitted it will give the appearance of a more polished look and actually slim you out.

Outfit Notes

Here are a few notes on how to style linen pants.

  • Pants – They run large!  I sized down to a small, but I would normally take a medium.  The elastic waist is very forgiving and the length is great, I’m 5’9 for reference.
  • Tops – Any white tee will do, I love this tank, its only $8!
  • Shoes – Keep it casual with sandals like this $35 Hermes inspired pair
