 Everlane Winter Uniform

Everlane winter uniform

Fashion Details:

Winter is here in Chicago and last week the high was 10 degrees!  OMG it’s cold!  While I limit my time outside when it’s freezing I do need to run out to get Lizzie from daycare or to the store once in awhile.  And I find myself wearing the exact same outfit each time.  It’s my winter uniform from Everlane and it’s a masterpiece!

Everlane Winter Uniform

My uniform is made up of four items from Everlane that can be worn all winter and also used individually in the spring and fall.  I love pieces that work over multiple seasons as you get more for your money this way.   Let’s explore each piece and why it’s a must have for your winter uniform.

Perform 24/7 Leggings

Let me first say that I truly believe leggings aren’t pants.  I’ve relaxed my rules a bit since I’m pregnant and mainly around the house, but I do believe that they should only be worn when working out. I’m a huge fan of Everlane workout leggings, they stay in place and are not see through.  They just revamped them a bit and the new and improved 24/7 Perform Leggings are perfect for anything and easy to wear all day long. Made with 69% recycled nylon and 31% spandex for an insanely soft feel and lightweight on the body. The 24/7 legging is made with no pockets and one front seam for a sleek & figure flattering fit.

I’ve sized up with this pair to accommodate my every growing bump, however I would suggest taking your normal size in these.  Pre-pregnancy I would take a medium and love the fit of that size.

Oversized Alpaca Sweater

Did you know that alpaca is the warmest wool out there?  While it tends to be slightly more itchy than regular wool it makes up for it in the warmth it provides.  The Oversized Alpaca Sweater is my go-to layering piece in the winter.  Whether I have it over a t-shirt or turneckneck it provides so much warmth and style.  It comes in four colors (Dark Green, Heathered Black, Heathered Stone and Bubble Gum).  I like the neutral color offerings and for sizing I would size down.  Sizing down still provides you with an oversized look that isn’t overwhelming.

Pima Micro Pro Turtleneck

One of my most worn basics for years now is the Pima Micro Pro Turtleneck.  First of all it’s only $40 and lasts wash after wash!  I love that it’s simple and chic.  You can wear it alone or layered in the colder months.  And it works for work or weekend wear.  The look of this top is fitted, however I find that it runs a tad small, especially if you are busty.  I would size up in this top, I would take a large (when my normal size is a medium).

Italian Leather Chelsea Boot

You guys know the Chelsea Boot has captured my heart this year.  It’s my stylish winter boot that provides comfort, warmth and style for the perfect winter look.  This leather pair from Everlane is only $78, talk about a steal, and made from 100% Italian Leather.  The boot is sleek and the lighter colors offer a contrast to the standard winter black.  Sizing is a bit tricky with this boot though because it depends on what type of sock you are wearing.  If you are going to wear a standard cotton sock, get your normal size.  If you are going to wear a thicker wool sock you will want to size up.  I took this into consideration and knew I wanted to wear a larger sock so I went with an 8.5 (vs my normal size of 8) and I’m very happy with my decision.
