Easter Basket Ideas For Kids

Easter basket ideas

Hop, Hop, Easter is almost here!  This year Easter is extra special, not only is the Easter Bunny coming, but it’s Maggie’s first birthday!  I typically keep Easter simple and don’t go overboard with Easter baskets.  I find that the smallest gifts are the best.  This year I’m being super practical and sticking to a few items.   Check out what I’m putting in the kids Easter Baskets this year:

  • Books – We love books in our house.  I actually have a pile of books in our storage closet that I stock up on when I find them on sale.  I just pull out a book from this pile to add to the Easter Basket.
  • Clothing Item – The girls love getting clothes so adding in a set of PJ’s or a swim suit is a great way to give them something they need.  You can also add in a pair of flip flops.
  • Accessory – I like to add in a small trinket that they get to wear.  Sunglasses are always popular and Bullseye Playground at Target always has a pair for $1.  And yes I stock up on these too and keep them around the house.  Bracelets are also popular right now for Lizzie.
  • Water Bottle – I have stock in water bottles right now.  So putting a new water bottle in the basket is a great idea.  The girls get a kick out of having a new water bottle too.
  • Small Toy – This is usually something they don’t need, but want.  I like to find a small toy that is somewhat educational to add to the Easter Basket.
  • Candy – Chocolate Bunny, Chocolate Eggs, Pez

Easter Books

I almost always have an Easter or bunny themed book in the Easter basket.  Lizzie loves to read and it’s something we can do together.  Here are some of my favorite Easter books that can always be read year round.  The graphic is shoppable, so click on a picture to shop it.

Easter Baskets

Growing up we had the same Easter basket every year and I’ve continued that tradition with Lizzie.  However, having two kids I want the Easter baskets to match.  So I bought a couple new ones this year.  I ended up picking up this bunny basket in pink and purple this year.  They are super cute in person.  They have a lot of structure, yet can still collapse for easy storage.   Plus I’ll use these for years to come.  Here are a few more options for Easter baskets.  The graphic is shoppable, so click on a picture to shop it.

Easter Basket Ideas

And now for the main event, the contents of the Easter basket. I’m sharing a few Easter basket ideas for infants, toddlers and big kids.  I’ve actually bought several of the items for our Easter baskets this year.  I’m most excited about; Peter Rabbit stuffed animal, kid jewelry and the heart sunglasses.  The graphic is shoppable, so click on a picture to shop it.
