Welden Escapade Saddle Bag

Fashion Details:

Hello friends.  I am embarrassed to admit that since having Lizzie my purse has been a diaper bag.  It’s one of those things that I swore would never happen once I had a baby. I was convinced that I would always carry my own purse after having kids.  Well, here we are and that has gone out the window.  I’m changing it though and adding the Welden Escapade Saddle Bag (find it hereinto the rotation.

While throwing my keys, phone and wallet into the diaper bag was easy and convenient to leave the house, it wasn’t what I wanted to do.  Every time I need to access those things, I need to maneuver everything in the bag to get out what I need.  It is a huge pain.  And there was also the time that I forgot to get my wallet out of the diaper bag and went to their airport without an ID.  News flash!  You can’t get on a plane without an ID.  That was pretty painful!

Purse Essentials

Above all else, my purse (not my diaper bag) needs to be functional.  It needs to work when I have Lizzie with me and when I’m on my own.  What I look for in a purse is pretty simple and these three things are non-negotiable.

Ability to go hands free

A secure closure

A timeless design

You will notice that price isn’t on there.  A good bag has no price tag in my mind.  If I love it and it meets the above criteria, I’m getting it.  When I’m buying an investment bag, I’m buying it for multiple seasons.  If I opt for a cheaper purse, I will be more likely to pick up a cheaper purse the following season.   It’s all about moderation and being conscious of my money.

When I found the Welden Escapade Saddle Bag (find it here) online it was a showstopper for me.  The hand-woven design on their bags is not only a signature trademark for them, it is an exquisite design that I haven’t seen on a purse.  Each bag, regardless of size is hand woven.   I love that so so much love has gone into each piece they produce.

The soft gold details on the Welden Escapade Saddle Bag (find it here) make it super feminine and delicate.  The tiny logo on the back of the purse is my second favorite detail on the purse. The hand-woven front is obviously my first.  I also love that the shoulder strap is adjustable.  Which means it works for the tall gal, like me at 5’9 and the shorter gals too.

The Welden Escapade Saddle Bag (find it here) is part of the core collection that is available year-round.  Each season they pepper in a special collection that is special for that season.  Right now, they have their Spring 20 Collection which is packed with gorgeous whites  and neutral tones.

Here are some of my favorite Welden bags right now.
